കല്യാണസൗഗന്ധികം ഒരു stemless plant ആണ്. ഇതിന്റെ petiol കിഴങ്ങിൽ നിന്നും വരുന്നു. Petiol പരസ്പരം പൊതിഞ്ഞ് ഒരു തണ്ടിന്റെ രൂപം പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
നീളമേറിയ ഇലകൾ alternative രീതിയിൽ ക്രമീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. Parallel Venetian ആണ് ഇലകളിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നത്.
