പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലകളിലെ പാറക്കെട്ടുകളിലും മറ്റും കാണുന്ന ഒരു തരം കാട്ടുവാഴയാണിത്. മറ്റു വാഴകളിൽ നിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമായി കുറുകിയതണ്ടാണ് ഇതിന്. ഇലകൾ ചുവട്ടിൽ നിന്നും വരുന്നതായിതോന്നും. കുലമാത്രം ഉയരത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുന്നു. കായ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ നിറയെ വലിയ വിത്തുകളാണ്. കായും പിണ്ടിയും ഭക്ഷ്യയോഗ്യമാണ്. മൂത്രാശയ സംബന്ധമായ രോഗങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇത് മരുന്നായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
