ഫാർമസ്യൂട്ടിക്കൽ, തടി താനിൻ, തുകൽ, പട്ട് വ്യവസായം എന്നിവയിൽ ഈ മരം വ്യാപകമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.കപ്പൽ നിർമ്മാണത്തിന് വളരെ ഉപയോഗപ്രദമായ തടി, തേക്കിന് പകരമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.ടാനിംഗിനും ഡൈയിംഗിനും പഴങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
